The non-profit Plant Management Network has released an online educational webcast that takes an in-depth look at Fusarium root rot.
Developed Berlin Nelson Jr., professor and soybean plant pathologist at North Dakota State University, the presentation is titled “The Fusarium root rot complex of soybean caused by the fungus Fusarium.”
Among the topics to be discussed are:
• Common symptoms indicating the presence Fusarium root rot
• How soil type and conditions can promote or inhibit fungal growth and
• Management options to reduce severity of infections and yield loss.
The 17-minute presentation will remain open access through Nov. 30 on the Focus on Soybean website.
The Plant Management Network is the collaborative effort among the American Phytophological Society, the American Society of Agronomy and the Crop Science Society of America.
