Bob Stark, agricultural economics professor with the University of Arkansas’ School of Agriculture and Southeast Research & Extension Center, Monticello, and Jeremy Ross, professor and Extension soybean agronomist, Little Rock, review the trading week in Arkansas ending Feb. 19, 2021.
Both markets opened the week with double digit gains over the holiday weekend. Old crop beans then trended lower during the midweek and finished with just an overall 6 cent gain for the week. New crop booking soybean held steady midweek and then closed higher on Friday to complete an excellent week.
The report includes a 2020 Crop Cash Market Report and a 2021 Crop Booking Market Report.
All prices were compiled from the Arkansas Daily Grain Report by the USDA AMS.
