As we wrap up 2020, plans are in the works for University of Extension and University of Kentucky Extension as they partner to host a single virtual Tennessee Grain and Soybean conference Feb. 4. This virtual meeting is being offered in response to ongoing concerns about coronavirus transmission and will replace in-person conferences normally held in Dyersburg, Tullahoma, Loudon, Tennessee, and Russellville, Kentucky.
Agents and specialists believed this was the safest way to continue to provide valuable production information and provide opportunities for continuing education credits to a large audience during the winter months.
Pesticide applicator, CCA and Tennessee Master Row Crop certification points can be obtained two ways:
1) By attending the live (virtual) three-hour conference the morning of Feb. 4 launched in Zoom.
2) By logging on to a conference website to view additional pre-recorded sessions that may be accessed at farmer and agribusiness partner’s convenience through May 2021. Those attending the live conference will need to pre-register prior to Feb. 4 to reserve a spot and to get continuing education points for the live event.
Details on where to sign up will be shared in early January. If you have any questions about the event, please contact your local county agent who can provide more details.
