BASF plans to introduce Renestra insecticide for the 2021 growing season. A premix of the pyrethroid, alpha-cypermetrin, and afidopyropen, Renestra offers knockdown and residual control of a broad array of aphid and lepidopteran pests in soybeans and cotton, according to the label.
The active ingredients belong to the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee’s Group 3A and Group 9D, respectively. BASF has branded afridopyropen as Inscalis active ingredient.
“Aphids continue to be a problem for many soybean growers, and Renestra insecticide will give them a unique new option to control these pests,” said Jennifer Archer, product manager for soybean insecticides, BASF Agricultural Solutions. “This new innovation provides growers with a complete solution for soybean aphids and other troublesome soybean pests.”
