Arkansas Soybean College planned for Aug. 8

polypipe in soybeans arkansasThe University of Arkansas, in conjunction with the Arkansas Crop Protection Association, will host the 2018 Soybean College Aug. 8 at the Newport Research Station.

Experts will share their latest findings and recommendations for soybean production. Attendees also will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on demonstrations.

The tentative agenda includes:

• Herbicide Symptomology/Herbicide Technologies
• Insect Scouting Demo
•  New Irrigation Technologies
•  Soybean Disease Identification/Control
•  Soybean Breeding/Variety Changes and
•  Nutrient Deficiency Identification.

Registration for the 2018 Soybean College will be $100 per person. Only on-line registrations will be accepted, and no walk-up registrations will be accepted the day of the event. The college runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Total enrollment will be capped at 130 participants to keep breakout groups small. Paid participants will receive a complimentary sweep net, hand lens and other items.
