DuPont introduces new soybean herbicide

DuPont logoDuPont Crop Protection has introduced EverpreX herbicide for soybean weed control.

Containing the active ingredient S-metolachlor, the product controls most annual small-seeded grasses and select broadleaf weeds, including waterhemp, Palmer amaranth and other pigweed species.

EverpreX belongs to the Weed Science Society of America’s Group 15 and works by inhibiting shoot and root tissue growth shortly after weed germination, according to a product technical bulletin. It is effective against ALS-, PPO- and glyphosate-resistant weeds.

S-metolachlor is a selective herbicide labeled for use as a prelant surface-applied, preplant incorporated, pre-emergency or post-emergence control for most annual grasses and selected broadleaf weeds, according to the product technical bulletin.

It can be tankmix with a host of other pre or post soybean herbicides to provide residual weed control. It has a wide application window from 45 days before planting up to 90 days before harvest.
