About One Grower

It’s Who We Are

one grower publicationsExperienced, reliable and respected are words that I believe describe our editors. Each one of these attributes requires a passion and background, which has served our publications well. It is not by chance that we are the most preferred verticals in the markets we serve.

Our editorial mission is to provide profitable production strategies to our farmers with information to improve their bottom line. We cover every stage of production — from land preparation, seed selection, crop protection through harvest. In addition, our editors have their hands on the pulse of the industry and are experts on marketing and legislation information that is critical to our subscribers.

Each one of our editors has extensive roots in their markets.

My partner, Mike Lamensdorf, is a fourth-generation farmer from Cary, Mississippi. He farms nearly 9,000 acres in the Mississippi Delta and owns a cotton gin.

Carroll Smith, our Cotton Farming editor, is the daughter of a Louisiana cotton farmer and has more than 30 years in ag journalism.

Amanda Huber writes The Peanut Grower and Corn South from her home on the farm in northern Florida — the Southern edge of peanut country.

Cassidy Nemec is our Associate Editor and daughter and granddaughter of Texas cotton consultants. She has a BBA in Business and journalism with a Masters in Jurisprudence, Energy and Environmental Law.

I personally grew up on my father’s farm outside of Leland, Mississippi.

Should you need information or have questions about our industries, please do not hesitate to call us. Our jobs are not just what we do … it’s who we are.
